Records Of The Week
Rashad Becker releases the 2nd volume of his "Traditional Music of Notional Species", on which sounds seem to become organisms (rather than environments). Real acoustic environments were recorded by Spencer Clark in Australia - Field Recording rarely sounds so surprising like on this super limited LP. In contrast the Wave Temples only pretend to be acoustic ethnographers, their tape release is gentle and pretty New Age. Menawhile in another world, Gobstopper drops a package of moody & autotune-injected ballads by CLU.
