Artists — Múm
Iceland pop experimentalists múm met in the late 90s. Formed by Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar Smárason, múm was soon joined by classically trained twin sisters Gyda and Kristín Anna Valtysdóttir. They soon became electronic key-figures, whose music is characterized by soft vocals, glitch beats, innovative sampling and eerie effects. múm have released their albums on Morr Music & Fat Cat Records. Meanwhile they have become one of Iceland's most important pop outfits, experimenting with a variety of traditional and unconventional instruments. The band's lineup is in a state of constant change. So is their music.
