Yetsuby is the solo project of South Korean artist Yejin Jang. Since 2019, she has established herself as a prolific visionary, with 6 albums, 7 EPs, and numerous singles across her two projects. Her recent album "My Star, My Planet Earth" won the "Best Electronic Album of 2023" at the Korean Music Awards.

In addition to her solo work, Jang is one half of the critically acclaimed electronic duo Salamanda, which has been featured in Pitchfork, Crack Magazine, and DJ Mag. The duo also hosts a residency called "Shadow Dance" on NTS Radio.

Yetsuby’s debut release on Seb Wildblood’s All My Thoughts label is a heartfelt and forward-thinking mini LP. The 6-track release delves into deeper emotions while showcasing her extensive skills through captivating sonic themes.

The bright, mesmeric opener "Who Swallowed the Chimes at the Random Place" introduces us to a mysterious world, where calmness is intriguingly disrupted by metallic shards slicing through the mix. The infectious rhythms of "If I Drink This Potion" are enhanced by beautifully balanced vocal and synth harmonies. "1,2,3 Soleil" demonstrates Yetsuby’s sophisticated ear for percussion, with growing polyrhythms reminiscent of the seminal works of Craig Leon.

"Maxilogue: Potion, Materials" cleanses the palette, allowing for lyrical work to dance off textures from earlier in the LP. Warm brass sections and graceful melodies create a beautifully bespoke orchestra. "Poly Juice" builds on this, with gentle sub-bass propelling the twinkling of a delicate arp. Vocals swirl around broken beats, blossoming into bloom. The aptly named "The Sublime Embrace – Losing Our Way Is Not Wrong" aims to heal the listener, blending elegant softness with stylistically crushed percussion, allowing horn flutters to sing alongside comforting vocals.

The release feels sincere and deeply personal, with a celestial magic that is both kaleidoscopic and transcendent. It creates a world for the listener to inhabit, inviting them to connect with the album's themes on a personal level.
